Honey Bees (Apis mellifera)

We are a Vermont registered apiary located on the island of Isle la Motte in northern Lake Champlain.

Honey Bee

Pollinator Central

Our bee yard operates within a former elk corral because it surrounds the bees with a ten foot tall wooden fence to protect them.

We use Langstroth-style hive bodies to shelter our resident honey bees, and provide shelters for native Mason and Bumblebees as well. We strive to be a refuge for pollinators of all kinds.

It's all in the gardens we grow!

Our wildflower honey has layers of complex flavors and an intense sweetness because of the wide array of flowers that bloom in our gardens. Click here to learn more about what we grow for some of the many flavors our bees put into our honey.
